Is what you are saying basically that the current nightlies are stable with only bugfixes and memory improvements since stable 2.2.10?

Then we could upgrade to current nightlies perhaps.

Are there any plans to optimize this resource consumption?
A good number of improvements have landed.

The memory usage during the initial sync process has been reduced by a
factor from 5 to 10.

The memory usage after the initial sync, so on a day-to-day usage basis
is about 30 to 50 MB of memory per EAS client.
